User-centered design is a philosophy and process that considers the needs, wants, and limitations of end users. It can be characterized as a multi-stage problem-solving process that not only requires designers to analyze and foresee how users are likely to use an interface, but also to test the validity of their assumptions.

Description
PEAK Learning is the company of best-selling author Dr. Paul G. Stoltz, architect of the Adversity Quotient® (AQ) theory. Plateau MediaWorks, LLC, first created a site for this client in 2003; this current redesign incorporates PEAK’s updated branding as well as a revised architecture, standards-compliant code, and multimedia components.
Related Projects
Over the years, PMW has designed over a dozen user interfaces for online AQ tools, along with Flash demos, e-cards, and more — including applications like the AQ Snapshot, an abbreviated online version of the AQ Profile®, an instrument used to measure resilience. Our goal was to give users an idea of their AQ. After completing eight questions, they receive their AQ score. PMW has also developed various online versions of the full AQ Profile.
