Soapbox: Not all browsers are created equal.
Unlike current versions of Internet Explorer (“IE”), three commonly used browsers — Firefox, Safari, and Chrome — offer support for CSS2 and CSS3 (the best thing to happen to the Web in a long, long time). Of course, we’ll make sure your site works on IE, but you’ll be missing out on a better browsing experience. Microsoft has pledged support for CSS3 in IE9, which is slated for release later this year; however, an alarming percentage of folks are still using IE6 — now 9 years old (a lifetime ago in Web years). Unfortunately, IE6 doesn’t even support CSS2. And even Microsoft wants you to upgrade. If you’re one of these folks, consider upgrading (or, better yet, ditching IE for Firefox or Chrome if you’re a PC user). These browsers are fast, secure, stable, free, and easy to install.
